Privacy notice
This notice explains how Computer Solutions One-Stop handles personal information when you contact the business or use the website enquiry form.
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Who is responsible for your information
Computer Solutions One-Stop is the data controller for enquiries and customer records handled through this website.
Email [email protected] or call 07554 108985 with a privacy question or request.
Information collected
The enquiry form may collect your name, postcode or area, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, preferred visit time, description of the computer problem and one optional image.
Cloudflare may also process technical security information such as your IP address, browser details, request time and Turnstile result. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive personal information.
Why the information is used
- To reply to your enquiry and contact you in the way you requested.
- To assess whether the service is suitable, explain likely pricing and offer an appointment.
- To prepare a quote, arrange a visit and provide the service if you decide to book.
- To protect the form and website from spam, fraud and misuse.
- To keep appropriate service, tax and legal records when work is booked.
Lawful bases
Enquiry information is normally processed because you asked for steps before entering into a contract. If you book work, information is also processed to perform that contract. Legitimate interests are used for proportionate website security, administration, service records and responding to ordinary business enquiries. Legal obligations apply where records must be retained for tax or other legal requirements.
The form asks you to confirm that you have read this notice. That confirmation is not used as the legal basis for processing your enquiry.
Service providers and external links
Cloudflare hosts and protects the website, processes the form request and Turnstile security check, and sends the enquiry email. Google provides the Gmail inbox used to receive and store the enquiry. These providers process information under their own security and data-protection arrangements.
The website also requests fonts from Google Fonts and a decorative photograph from Unsplash. Those providers receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser details when the resources load. WhatsApp and the Google business-profile link are external services; their own privacy terms apply after you follow those links.
Information is not sold. It is not shared for third-party advertising. It may be disclosed where required by law, to protect legal rights, or to professional advisers where reasonably necessary.
International processing
Cloudflare, Google, WhatsApp and Unsplash operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards, the relevant provider is responsible for using an approved transfer mechanism or another lawful safeguard.
How long information is kept
Unsuccessful enquiries and their attached images are normally deleted within 12 months. If you book a service, relevant correspondence and service records may be retained for up to six years where reasonably needed for tax records, contractual records, legal claims or service history. Information may be deleted sooner when it is no longer needed, unless a legal reason requires it to be kept.
The optional image is attached to the enquiry email and is not placed in a public gallery or a separate customer database by this website.
Security
The website uses HTTPS, server-side validation, Cloudflare Turnstile, restricted file types and size checks. Access to the receiving inbox and Cloudflare account should be limited and protected. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so only provide information needed to discuss the repair.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also complain if you believe your information has been mishandled.
Contact [email protected] first so the matter can be addressed. You can also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or call 0303 123 1113.
Cookies and analytics
No advertising or audience-analytics service has been added to this website. The site does not set its own advertising cookies. Cloudflare may use essential security technology when delivering the site and Turnstile. If analytics, advertising or new embedded services are added later, this notice and any cookie choices will be reviewed before they are introduced.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when the website, service providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
